piles

March 31, 2010

That pretty much sums up my life right now.
lots of bunting to be made
I have piles of clean laundry to put away. Piles of dirty laundry to wash. Piles of projects to get done. Piles of toys all over the house. Piles of dishes in the sink. Basically, piles of messes everywhere. Oh and this huge pile of bunting waiting to be sewn for the wedding! Golly gee… I want all the piles to disappear! Seriously, my house is a mess not like the house you see here or here.
I can get a bit stressed thinking about all the piles I am surrounded with. It sometimes seems like things will never get clean or a certain project will never be done, but I must remind myself to take it one step at a time. One pile at a time, so now I am off to do just that. Wish me luck!

Well, that's all you can do,one pile at a time. πŸ™‚ Maybe you can just throw some of the messes into plastic drawers until you can get to it so that you don't have to see a mess? I know one thing, that is a pretty pile of fabric! I also can't wait to see wedding pics….I know it will be amazing! πŸ™‚

good luck, ruby! just take it one step (pile) at a time and remember to reward yourself for sorting well-done.

Goodluck! I think we all know how it feels and you are so right: Taking it one step at a time is best. Then all of a sudden you'll realise that the piles disapeared (unless you start new piles in the meantime ofcourse ;-)).

The fabric for the bunting looks great. Nice combination!

  • I feel your pain. I thankfully have one pile of burlap pocketfolds left to sew for my wedding invites, thats somehow need to miraculously be out by tomorrow πŸ˜› Godspeed!

    Good Luck!

I know what you mean, I usually have piles all over too πŸ™‚ I've been trying to be better about it.

The garlands make a pretty pile.

i am a piler too…i like to think of it as organized chaos…a step above slovenly mayhem….but give yourself some grace mama! you got a lot going on right now – of course your home is going to reflect it!

  • I haven't read any of the other comments, but I thought to suggest buying various cheap storage containers and putting your piles out of sight. Cause there's always something in progress, but it's hard to keep your mind clear when it's in sight. I love putting things in containers and knowing exactly where everything is.

I've got some of those too! Take find satisfaction and encouragement when I take on one thing at a time. Good luck!

I am with you….so very sick of the piles, which can at times, stress me out! I am trying so hard to keep up with the laundry, but jeepers it can be tough. What I would do to have Mary Poppins magical touch!

  • Um, are you in my house?! I have the same piles. Good luck dealing with yours!

  • Kristi says:
