yogurt with my sistersdinner with my sisters

Tuesday was a blissful day of getting some things done, which included yogurt and dinner with my two sisters, but I am still stuck on which umbrella. Ah! It takes us forever to decide things, but I guess that is better than being an impulsive shopper!

We just get mad at ourselves sometimes because we just take so darn long to make decisions. The only time we are fast (kinda fast) is at the flea market and that is cause if we don’t decide then, well it will probably be gone the next minute. Do you take forever when making a purchase or do you buy on impulse?

I take forever… then I regret it later. Always happens that way, but I think I'm starting to learn…

  • mmm, that yogurt looks delish. might have to run to berry chill during my lunch break now…

I have had a horrible habit of making impulse purchases, many of which I later regret. I'm trying very hard now to take my time, because I have found that most of the time if I wait a few days, I don't want what I think I need to have! (Except when we're talking thrift finds you're totally right on that point. Grab it while you can!)

it's definitely better to take your time making a decision than to be impulsive! for me, it depends on what i'm buying. i think i tend towards impulsive too often.

I'm just trying to figure out what it is i REALLY like. Novelty tends to wear off very quickly for me (even if i LOVE it upon purchase!) Simple and clean lines always work perfectly for me in the long run.

  • Yes I do have a problem with this. I actually was thinking the same thing about myself last week. I've had a poster for the past two years that I had been wanting to frame and it took me all week, searching everyday for the perfect picture frame. But I'm really happy with what I bought. I had held off on searching for 2 years for this same reason, that I know it takes me so long to find things that I like. It also takes me longer even more now that I have kids.

    Your dishes are too cute!
I vary in making decisions, lately I have been taking forever to decide on things which isn't good in a renovation. ๐Ÿ™‚ I love the striped Umbrella, it is just very unique. ๐Ÿ™‚ Good luck!

  • That froyo picture is KILLING me. I've been craving it for days and we finally decided to go after dinner tomorrow. We drove by the window to find a parking spot and there were literally at least 30 people in line. We gave up. So sad.

As for the umbrella, take your time ๐Ÿ™‚ For “big” purchases (i.e. anything more than like $30, lol) I think about them forever unless I need it immediately.

we take forever to make decisions. i can be quite frustrating because for me, as soon as i decide i want something, i want it right then, i don't want to have to shop for it.

  • CarleeKajsa says:

i vote for the simpler one…i am too fast a decider…

  • I take FOREVER. There is only one “complete” room in my entire house because I get cold feet when it comes to decorating purchases. It annoys me.

  • Alely L. says:

i am normally an impulse buyer when it's a little ticket item but for bigger purchases i'm usually indecisive.

  • Rubyellen says:

slow or fast, i guess we all have one thing in common… we love to shop!

we are still so stuck on the umbrella! i go back and forth. what if we had two striped maybe that would look too busy, so maybe two natural looking ones would be better. ah! what do you think?

  • lesley says:

i like the simpler one. i usually go a little bolder on things (sadly, i'm a major impulse buyer) and then get tired of it pretty quickly. the simpler one also looks more relaxing. but, i guess it's up to whatever mood you want. ๐Ÿ™‚ good luck! i'm sure whichever you choose it will look adorable.

  • I looove the striped one, and I have been eyeing umbrellas myself lately, but I'm waiting till the end of the season to pick up a cheap one. I would love that striped one, it's so original, it would look hot in your backyard. I mean..cool…ha ha, just kidding.

  • Ingrid says:

i tend to make snap decisions on things that are super cheap – usually i'll get them, ha – but if it's something expensive, clothes included, i'll wait til i'm sure i REALLY want it.

if you haven't made a decision on the umbrella yet – i vote striped! it's super cool and not at all like any umbrella i've ever seen. very artistic and for some reason reminds me of france.
