sweet little snaps

These are a few sweet snaps from the last few weeks. I never upgrade my phone and always just get phone hand me downs, so I was pretty much late to the whole iPhone (instagram) game. The newest iPhone has me intrigued with its new camera features and I wouldn’t mind an upgrade since I’m eligible for one. I’m wondering if it will lessen the need to carry an SLR around sometimes. Anyone upgrade yet, and if so, what are your thoughts on the new iPhone 5s camera features?

The Zombie Run this weekend was fantastic (post to come soon), as I knew it would be, but Sunday I was just flat out exhausted that I literally slept all day. I’m the biggest anti-napper as I think naps are a waste of time (for me) because there is too much to do, but I straight up napped all day long.  Lately, my body has been feeling really exhausted. I’ve been having bad allergies, so I take non-drowsy allergy medicine, but I’m wondering if it’s having the adverse effect on my body and making me drowsy. I can’t drink coffee because if I do, instead of waking me up, the stimulant makes me sleepy, so I’m wondering if the stimulants in allergy meds are the ones making me tired. It really is so strange! Whatever it was, it was great to have a lazy day in bed! Are you a napper or do you tend to be an anti-napper like me?

cute photos! allergy meds used to make me sleepy too. allergies period make me sleepy. i think it’s the body’s way of saying slow down, we need the energy to fight the intruders! (pollen and such). if my body says to nap and i can, i do it. but i know what you mean, it can feel wasteful during busy times. but taking care of yourself in small ways can keep you from getting sidelined in the future, when it could be a real hassle to be stuck in bed for days. just my thoughts.=)

  • Such cute kids!
I am an anti-napper-stay-up-late kind of girl because theres always something i could be doing. i know in the long run it’s not so good to stay up late, but i try to go to bed early, and it just doesnt work.

OOh! I really want the new iPhone. We’ll see when that happens. 😉

Napping is amazing when it’s the right time. But really, I just wanted to say how much your blog always makes me smile. You are a huge inspiration to me. I never comment, but I just wanted to say that.

Non- drowsy allergy medicine still makes me drowsy. I think it is more just “less-drowsy” ha. And I agree that allergies in general can be a little energy zapping. They were bothering me last week and I found myself unintentionally napping when I would sit down for a bit.

I feel the exact same way as you as far as napping goes. That’s what night time is for, right?! And I just wake up confused and in the weirdest mood ever! Of course they are my husbands FAVORITE thing to do… :/ Oh well, I AM more productive when I’m not hanging out with him anyway, so he can have his naps;)

P.S. When I started my blog a few months ago, my husband was helping me narrow down my vision for it, and he asked, “Which one of your favorite blogs would you wanna be like?” And I thought, “Cakies!”

The new iPhone camera is amazing! You can capture beautiful photos even in low light.

I’m not much of a mapper, time is precious, but I’m trying to be kind to myself, so ill rest watching a bit of tv or reading. I’ve found if I don’t take the time to look after myself in this way too I will come down with a nasty flue that I can’t get rid of, so I guess I’m a napper if I need to take one
Hope you feel better real soon, hugs 🙂 x

I am definitely an anti-napper. I have to be extraordinarily exhausted to nap and usually when I do it’s unintentional. But sometimes a lazy day is exactly what your body needs to get back on track :)!

  • The raisin toe shot is just too cute!
