I so badly wanted a caprese salad, so Ben went to the store to get the ingredients to make it. Come to think of it, I want more…
We also just bought a basil plant, actually two different kinds, and hopefully we will have tons of tomatoes, so I hope to be having caprese salad all summer long. What are you craving these days?
p.s. blogger went wonky and did some maintenance and hopefully the missing post (in case you noticed) will be back soon.
I am obsessed with making pie, which I think is the ultimate summer item, nostalgic and yummy. I recently baked spinach pie and have been day dreaming about a pear-apple pie. Also, I stumbled across a buttermilk shoefly pie recipe, which sounds so deliciously old-fashioned I can't wait to try it.
I remember you saying you're filipino so hopefully you'll know what I'm craving.. HALO-HALO! It's my ultimate go-to refresher during summer here in chicago.
I've never had a caprese salad, but I know a friend that visited Italy and got addicted to them! So it must be good!
yum, yum!
Oh my YUM!!!! That looks so delicious! I'd throw a little avacado in there too… fresh and summery!
This is Craig's favorite snack! I lost a post too… stop that blogger!!!
Ooh I love caprese salad! I am wanting to make a strawberry rhubarb cobbler (or maybe a few) while rhubarb is in season!
That looks so delicious!
so refreshing!
This is my absolute FAVOURITE type of salad ever! Sadly though in New Zealand Mozzarella and bocconcini are insanely expensive. I will be in Europe next week though and will be sure to eat it every single day!
This is a favorite meal of mine too – especially in the summer!
that looks like something Rachael Ray would make!
I love caprese salad! I've turned it into a baked breakfast item by using sourdough, tomato, mozz cheese, basil, red/black pepper and garlic! Yummy.
mmmm this is one of my favorite dinners in the summer!! yumm. i definitely need to pick up a basil plant at the farmer's market this weekend!
