Vintage tablecloths turned into a bag and clutch, yet again…
They are now on their way to their new homes (thanks Mandi and Rychelle). I was tempted to keep the sunflower one because the embroidery is just divine. There is so much detail and handiwork done on that bag and well, the little clutch is just too sweet. I still have more left of that vintage table runner to make another. Anyone want?
I am trying to get ahead for the holidays and get massive amounts of things cut and ready. I am not sure what to expect. I also want to get some more once in awhiles in the shop (maybe some mushrooms, a doll or two, or more bags), those things give a nice to break to the regular Cakies sweets.
Also, check out Modish because my friend Nathalie’s atelier is on that super blog… way cool!!!
Just catching up on your blog and oh my goodness, your girls rooms are awesome! I almost cried when I saw you have THE poster I love. I first saw a HUGE original on canvas in Hawaii. (posted here: http://springchickdesigns.blogspot.com/2008/03/blur-of-sights-and-sounds.html) LOVE IT!

Hey, I just saw you on Oh Happy Day. Congratulations! You’re going to be super famous! (And busy — the whole world is going to want your bags, hehe).
Thank you for the site link on those placemats!!! They ARE cool! I want them!! And I used my little clutch that you made when I went to church last Sunday… everyone LOVED it!! It is so unique and so sweet! These new ones are too and that bag– I’d want to keep it if I were you! I can’t wait to see what else you’re making! I am jealous of Nathalie’s nice studio… someday I’ll put mine together… if I ever stop projects long enough to think about it! 😉

What a great bag – I love the braided handles!
Pick me…pick me….I would love to have one of those bags. So, so cute. I have never really had a bag that I tote around and I think this would be a good in between before I can afford a real leather bag. I just stumbled upon your blog…so much inspiration.

I am new to your blog. I love reading other people's sewing projects. I usually sew clothing for a long long time but never accessories. I have been thinking about it for a long long time but kept on postponing it. Thank you for your inspiration. Your bag is beautiful and I will give a shot to see how it goes…thanks.
