In December, it was Ben’s birthday and for his little birthday gift I made him a compilation of sewn love letters that contain sayings that us girls frequently say to him. You can see the rest of the Sew In Love With You letters here.
Though, we did this for his birthday, it is a perfect idea for Valentine’s Day for someone you are sew in love with. All I did was cut white muslin fabric into 8.5” x 11” (just like real paper) and sewed in the lines to make it look like real paper too. Lastly, I free motion machine-sewed on each little love message and voila! Love messages for someone lovely and in our case, my Benny is super lovely!
This is an amazing idea! I love it! Thank you for sharing.

Our handmade gift for my husband this Christmas was a little love note, too! I used a sewing machine to make the lines on fabric for the “ruled paper”, and Lio (6) and Paloma (4) used a disappearing fabric pen to write their messages to John. I embroidered over their handwriting, and the ink disappeared a short while later. I think it's the sweetest gift ever – a little bit of them captured in time.

What a great idea, thanks!

Love them!
these are the perfect Valentine! i write a funny poem every year and my husband frames them on his side wall. these would be a nice addition! so crafty, thanks!
I'm following your blog for quite some time now and every time you surprise me with your creativity and love for your family.
It's so amazing to read that you're aware of the fact you're only human and you have strugles and fights, just like everyone else. The difference is that you're honest about these kind of things and most of the people aren't.
Thanks so much again for your nice words, beautiful pictures and creativity. You inspire me a lot!
did you use a darning foot to sew the letters or a regular foot?
That is so original and special! Thanks for sharing.
cool idea. I once did a wall-hanging called 'love letters' so your love-notes appeal to me a lot! I like that they look like a child's school copybook.
These are incredible.
fabulous! these would be a great custom item for your esty shop! some of us are not so gifted in the sewing machine department!! 🙂
Oh my GOODNESS! These are so precious! LOVE them!!!
I can not believe how great you are with a sewing machine!! How did you do the cursive lettering so well?? I just love this idea. Now I have to get my sewing machine out after having it packed away during my studio move! (and find it first!)
INCREDIBLE, what an AWESOME keepsake! You could totally sell these on your etsy site by the way:)
Oh, I LOVE these! So tender and sweet!
I am seeing these everywhere in blogland. Love it!
Oh I just adore all the sweet and lovely things you make and do with your children. Thank you for sharing your ideas. I have gotten so much inspiration from several crafty blogs lately. I have two children myself, and I always feel like a better mom when I'm active in a project or craft. Bless you for finding the time to do all that you do with three little ones. Victoria
This is such a sweet idea! Thanks for sharing!
I love how much energy you put into making gifts for your family and the attention to detail that goes into celebrating each holiday. It keeps me trying harder because I have low motivation in that department.
delish, adore yhis idea
mwua!!
This kind of just melted my heart. My favorite part is “love, your four girls.”
I love this Ruby! I was so inspired by your house for Brave that I searched high and low to find a free motion foot….only problem is, I can't figure out how the thing works. Perhaps when we meet up again you can give me some pointers, he he!
Thank you for all the lovely crafty insoiration oyu give 🙂
