Congratulations Gabriela!!! Email me your address. And thank you everyone else for participating and I love reading your comments (though, I am still not all caught up)! It is obvious that as much as we love the convenience of digital, nothing can ever replace the feeling of film!

I really like those diana lomography cameras where you get soft and fuzzy images that look like the 70's…it reminds me of my mom =)

Wow awesome! I have been in the market for one! Happy anniversary!
My favourite camera is my trusty canon point and shoot at the moment, but I am researching SLRs so I can make a choice soon!
I would love to have a Nikon D-anything camera! But all I have is a little Nikon digital camera that will take me through the days as I wait to get an SLR one. Someday. I would love to play with a Polaroid camera! Congrats on 3 years! Love your blog.
And I am, of course, a follower
i'm a follower! happy anniversary!
i shoot mostly with my canon rebel. but i also love polaroids!
I miss that beautiful, grainy look of old film photos!
I loved changing the film and actually taking it out and manually processing it onto print paper–I had my own darkroom in my basement! You wouldn't believe how 8 hours could fly by…!

i miss waiting on pictures to be developed and eagerly looking through the package to see how they turned out. that anticipation just isn't there with digital!
and i'm a follower! love your blog.
I'm a follower! π
hi ruby! the thing i miss most is being able to capture a moment in a raw form, and waiting for the moment to see the image again after being processed.
also a follower : )
I love film cameras for the lovely grain they give to photos – digital cameras just don't give the same feel. My parents had a polaroid (until I dropped it on our vacation) π
I miss the fact to develop photo. With numeric, I have a lot of photo in my computer but not very much develop…
I'm a follower!
Ahh, I miss being in the darkroom with all my thirty shots. Nowadays I take thirty shots in a matter of six minutes and “develop” them immediately.
I also miss non edited photos. The natural ones are the BEST.

I miss film because you never know what you are going to get. I miss the anticipation and the waiting and the excitement, and when it finally comes….I miss the big smile and happiness while sorting through the pile π
I have been trying to get my hands on Polaroid film for so long. I hope to win π

I miss : having to find that perfect light, perfect angle – to make the picture absolutely perfect – instead of just putting it up on my computer and fixing it that way.

I am a collector of old cameras and the first camera I ever got was a polaroid 600. a month later, they discontinued film. I loved the fact that I could place memories all over my room, journal, mailbox and even gift them to friends (after time had passed). I miss the excitement of the square revealing itself, seconds after clicking the shutter. To win this would be a dream.
(Yes, I'm a blog follower).
i follow. who doesn't π
i miss having my photos in my hands. prints are so nice to have in an album for all to enjoy! my husband hardly sees any of our family photos since they are all hiding in my C drive π
I miss mistakes. With digital cameras, you can just delete “bad” pictures but there's something incredibly quaint about missed shots…
FOLLOWING! π
fantastic giveaway!
what i miss most about film is the surprise you get when developing the film. you never know what you will get! and i love the little blips that can happen, random spotting or overlapping that is all lost on digital.
and of course i am a follower!
One thing i miss about using a film camera is the anticipation of how the photos turned out when you go pick up your prints at the photo lab!!! ekkkkk… hehee
Happy 3rd Blogaversary!

Yeah, the thing I miss most about using film is the surprise of either a great shot or a really cruddy one! Sometimes the goof-ups make the best shots, too.
I follow you, too!
i miss having the pictures in my sweet little hand. happy blogiversary!

Ruby! What a wonderful giveaway!!!
The thing I miss most about instant cameras is the spontaneity of it all. Now we get to take and retake pictures if we don't like it. But getting to have that instant gratification with the way the photo turned out, however it did…that's such a treasure. It encourages you to live in the moment π
I am so excited about this giveaway!! Crossing my fingers!

I miss having prints in my hands. I almost never print anything anymore & I was reminded of how nice that is when a girlfriend pulled some prints out of her purse to show off.

One thing I miss about using a film camera is taking the film to be developed then getting the pictures the next day! I also miss how adorable the camera film always looked :(.
I miss the surprise of what you had captured, you never knew if someone had blinked or if their hair was in their face, you just had to have faith that it was a good shot!

I miss the anticipation. I loved picking up the pictures and flipping through them as I was walking away from the film counter.
I'm a follower! π And I miss having those good ole hard copies of pictures anymore. I am so terrible about getting them printed!!
Well, I have a film camera-but I miss that not so many people use them.
Can that count? π
PS- I'm a follower, and happy 3 years to you!!

i miss how everypicture was special and not one of a serie.
1) I miss having a camera that will automatically just give me the photos instead of just downloading them in my computer and never printing them out.

A polaroid camera would be so awesome! You have the loveliest blog. I miss the little film strip pieces from real cameras, peeping at them was so fun, like a glimpse of a mirror world!
i really miss having tangible pictures in my hands. i'm really bad at getting my pictures printed out now.

I miss the mystery of a film camera. I have an old Canon TX (that was my Dad's) that I still try and put some BW film in once or twice a year and take some snaps of the kids. I LOVE the mystery of adjusting the aperture and seeing the result.
I love your blog :]
I used to have pictures all over my room growing up because of film and now I only have a few since most are on my computer. I miss having picture all around me.
I miss finding an old roll of film in a drawer and smiling so big when I discover what the pictures were of.

the best thing from film…doing the “shake shake” dance to make the picture {poof} appear!

I follow your wonderful blog
I love that film is so raw and real!
i have 8 old polaroid cameras in my camera collection and not a single one works! this saddens me to no end as i keep buying them and hoping that they will work as polaroid is the only type of film there is – in my mind. i even have a bunch of old polaroid film that is albeit expired but have used it in others' cams and it makes the most amazing photos because it isn't as crisp and beautiful. little vignettes of washed out yet important life. little faded moments. memories deep in the subconscious. that's what i think they look like.
i'd love to win but even if i don't (which i probably won't lol) i am glad there are others out there (you) who get it. i also LOVE the impossible project and get regular emails from them.
I always miss the fun and spontaneity of using a film camera. Nowadays you take a photo and keep hitting the delete button until you get it 'right', there is no fun or surprise.
This is such a lovely giveaway, thank you so much for the opportunity to win this lovely camera…my fingers & toes crossed!

I loved shaking the pictures thinking it would make them process faster…even though I'm sure it didn't help at all π

Hi Ruby,
What a wonderful giveaway! I certainly miss the anticipation of finally seeing the photographs. Waiting to use all the film, dropping it off to be developed, remembering to pick I up, and finally tearing open the envelope to reveal the photos! I appreciate the finality of film, that the moment is captured and can't be so easily deleted. Although I love my digital cameras too! We are blessed to have so many wonderful options to capture our lives!
wow i cannot believe that you have been blogging for 3 years and i have only discovered it earlier this year. i am enjoying your blog – am definitely a follower! – and i can only dream of having a family like yours. and i adore your children's names!
i just started re-experimenting with film photography. my husband purchased an LC-A+ and i, a diana f+. back in the “old” days, i missed capturing the moments and not knowing how it translated to photos. i love waiting for the film to develop, it excited me to no end. i am happy that i will be able to re-live that excitement when i finish my roll of film.
i used to own a polaroid and LOVEd it, but unfortunately broke it during a vacation in the philippines :(. winning this giveaway will be really special.

Happy Anniversary! I'm a follower of your blog (in Google Reader), and I miss the surprise of film cameras – the losing a roll in the back of the closet and being excited to get it developed because is it from 1983? or last week? Your baby's christening, or a 4th of July picnic?
There's something for instant gratification, but there's also something against it.
I miss going to a dark room and developing the film!

sweet. another one of your lovely giveaways! i love polaroids, mostly the way you hear the click and “bzzzzzt” of the film coming out of it's mouth. like a little fly sticking out it's tongue at you(ha ha ha).
one thing i love about film though is the magic in waiting for your picture to appear on that nice clear white paper. how you hope “did it turn out the way i wanted it to” or “i wonder how it'll really be”. things like that are the greatest enjoyments of photography. π
come by again soon okay.

i love the anticipation of waiting for film be developed. my friend, Tiffany, introduced me to your blog and have been following it via Google Reader for the last year.
I remember my first camera. I was six. It was yellow. I miss finding the letter of my last name at the store, having my dad reach up that high to get my pictures out of the bin, and then looking at them all the way home.
I'm a follower! And I've been wishing for a polaroid camera since I was little. There was a Barbie one I always asked for at the store.
i miss the suspense of not knowing exactly how your picture is going to come out, and being so surprised and how awesome the outcome is!!

What I love about film cameras is the raw emotion that it captures, no editing allowed!
oops i mixed up the comment with your other post! what i miss about film photography is the shutter advance!
And of course, I am a loyal follower!
what i miss about film cameras in the flaws in the photos. the random strips of light that appear or when one picture overlaps another picture. digital is just too perfect!
I am also a faithful follower!
I love love love your blog and I read it every single day. You have such a cute family! I am absolutley obsessed with film photography. I miss the accessiblity of it all, though. It's hard to find places that will develop my 120 film and it's hard to find inexpensive polaroid film. It's worth saving your pennies for, though.
I love getting the film back. So much anticipation for a good shot!
I also follow your blog with google reader!!
I've been a subscriber to your blog for forever! Such a wonderful daily read for me. Very inspirational. What I miss most about film cameras is the excitement of getting your film back from the lab. I like the delay of film, and the fact that it produces OBJECTS – film, negatives, paper images – by necessity.
and, follower, bien sur.
I miss holding the pictures in my hand. I recently was looking through photos from high school and it was so nice to flip through all of them.
I am a follower! I remember when I was younger dropping off film at the developer, and having to wait a few days to pick it up. It was always so satisfying to pick up the prints and remember different moments from a trip, vacation, or just time around the house. Sure, the instant gratification of digital film is nice, but there's something to be said about old-fashioned waiting.
I am a follower as well. Love your blog!!
I'm a follower and love every post you write!! Thanks for a great read, and for this chance at a polaroid!
what I miss most about using a film camera, is the anticipation of seeing your picture… with digital, it's instant gratification… but with film, you take more time capturing the image (because you only want to do it once with limited amount of film), and it feels amazing holding that final product in your hand.
I just love the warmth and feel of film based photos! I miss going to the developing center and the anticipation of seeing the photos in print. I miss buying photo albums and the gentle ritual of arranging the photos.
Happy blog-versary Ruby!!
I miss having all my film pictures printed out- I never print my pictures now.

I miss getting my film processed and getting excited and surprised by the results! My boyfriend and I picked up a disposable camera recently and loved that we didnt even have to opportunity to check and see if it turned out ok, you just take a shot and keep going!
i loved the waiting and anticipation to know how the photos developed and the feeling of real hand held photos, most of ours is on our computer!
thanks for sharing all your lovely finds!!

i miss the *smell* of film. yum
long time follower π
I miss the imperfections that can't be fixed in film pix.
oooooooh! i want, i want, i want! π
only ONE thing? i miss so many things. opening up those black canisters of film. choosing carefully when to snap photos since you don't have a memory card! hearing the film wind up when you're all done snapping the photos. wondering if the pictures came out- no “delete” button there! waiting, waiting, oh, waiting for your film to develop. looking through printed photos. putting printed photos in picture frames. writing on the back of photos to remember that special time. perusing through endless photo albums as a result of said printed photos.
and you know, i follow! π
love ya!
p.s. let's play soon, yeah? i can come over!
The fact that every picture you take, it will be developed. So I spend a lot more time thinking about what I should take a picture of, and how I should take it, before I take it. Also, sometimes, the film that's in it has gone funny and it gives the pictures an effect you wouldn't expect.
I miss working in the darkroom at school!

I am so hoping that I am that one lucky enough to win this camera!!! I have been subscribed to your blog via Google reader for a while now does that count? I have been trying to start a collection of Polaroids but have never had the right timing, funding or the right knowledge to know what cameras are best and where to get the film. My mom used Polaroids when I was growing up and somehow they all disappeared never to be inherited by me. I miss the smell of Polaroids, the beautiful blurs and lovely imperfections. π PS i added a link on one of my blog posts to this giveaway! hope it helps!

Hi there, Katie here another subscriber – I adore your blog!!
The thing I miss the most about using a film camera, is the magic of capturing that one perfect shot which encapsulates an unforgetable moment in time. It requires no fancy digital enhancement, hundreds of the same shot or expensive software. It holds its own and expresses the moment organically without any intervention.
Often when using my DSLR, I get too caught up in technicality and post-production, that the simplicity of photography is wiped out. I would love to get back to the roots of photography – and a polaroid camera like this would be a pleasure to get to know! Sadly I can't seem to find an affordable polaroid camera (and film!) in Australia..
Will post about this wonderful giveaway on my facebook page π
Congratulations on 3 years!!

One thing I miss about my old film camera is waiting for the prints! I remember always being so eager to get my prints back! It was a nice surprise to see how they turned out.

I blogged about this giveaway at couponing102(dot)blogspot(dot)com !
Wow, thank you for such an amazing giveaway. A polaroid camera! I've wanted one for at least five years now.
Anyway, the one thing I miss about using a film camera is that anticipation of getting the roll of film back…you know? By the time you get it developed, you can't remember exactly what pictures you took, and it's so fun to check them out!
PS and of course I follow you already!
Ahh! I want a polaroid so bad! I just love the look so much. I usually use my little rebel for my shots but i have really been considering trying some film stuff. Sometimes all the digital stuff feels like cheating. (smile)
And of course I follow your lovely blog.
Oh I'm leaving a second comment to say i am officially following. i want my second chance!
I'm a follower!!!! What a cool giveaway! One of the things I miss about film is having prints for every photo you take. When I look at old prints from back in the day I become nostalgic and love even the bad ones.
yay- this is such a fun one!
I miss using a film camera because it was always a little surprise when you go the film developed. pics you didn't remember taking pop up. always a nice treat!
My favorite thing about film is by far the anticipation of it. It's so much fun waiting to see what you've captured. I love it!

The thing I miss most about a film camera are the surprises my grandpa used to put in the empty film containers. He would give us quarters or candy that way when we were little.
I follow your lovely blog.
Here's the blog post: http://restonme.blogspot.com/2010/09/in-instant.html
I miss the fact that every photo was more precious, because you didn't have the ability (or the money) to just take a hundred pictures everywhere you went.
Thanks for doing this giveaway Ruby! I love your blog a ton.

I love the surprise of film! With my digital camera I can futz with everything until I get exactly what I want, but it's nice to relinquish control everyone in a while and wait and see what happens.
And I follow your blog via rss! Happy blogiversary!
I miss the excitement of not knowing how the pictures came out until you get them developed.
I follow your blog!
I am a follower, what I miss about using film is that now with the digital cameras and memory cards they just sit on those forever until i get around to developing them vs just developing the film
Hey Ruby! I'm a follower π
One thing I miss about film cameras is the wait to see how the pictures come out. It's like waiting for good ol' snail mail.

this giveaway marks my first tweet, too!
I miss the unknown of what I will find when the film is developed.
now a follower too.
One thing I miss about film is the excitement you get when you wait for your pictures to develop, not knowing what will appear; the unpredictability of it all. I also love how raw and real the pictures you get from film.
And yes, I am most definitely a follower of your blog π
I miss the pinhole fun and waiting to see the photos that were taken.
i am a follower! i miss the uncertainty of the photo- did you line it up right? will the film turn out? it's so fun sending away a roll of film and being completely unaware of what the pictures will look like when they return!

In this world of instant gratification, I miss the anticipation of going to pick up my prints.
I miss those brown negative strips!! I know that sounds weird, but when I come across old negatives it makes me think “aw, the good old days” π
i'm a subscriber to your blog:D
I miss the excitement of going to the store to pick up your photos. The anticipation, the suspence the pure excitement of tearing open the gummy flap to see if you were able to catch what you can remember in your mind as “great shots”
Happy Blogiversary!
I miss the anticipation of waiting for film to develop – although Polaroid was the first to shorten that wait!
Of course, I follow you – probably over 2 yrs now!
I am a follower. I'm not sure I miss film camera's..but I would love one of these. My parents used to have one when I was a kid.
I miss the process of anticipating how my pics will turn out. I love love polaroids and have been begging my husband for months to get me one! So this would be lovely to win! I'm a follower of your blog and love it=)
I miss going to pick up our film months after the event (because it would take us forever to go to the wholesale store we would get them developed at) and walking around looking through the pics and remembering the event while we shopped!
I'm a follower!
I'm a follower (that sounds weird) & I miss film because I tried harder … Now I just snap pictures of everything & 80% are not good.

I think that I miss most about film is the element of surprise. You never really know what it's going to look like till it's done.
… i just love this giveaway..

thank you!
I miss the fact that you are stuck with with whatever pictures you take. I have great ones of my husband and I from when we were dating that I know I would have deleted on a digital camera.
I am a follower of your blog!
I love the suspense of not knowing what you are going to get. But instant gratification is fun too! Now we snap so many that you always get a perfect shot and thats a plus and a minus.
I'm a follower. I love the sweet adventures you have with your girls!
i miss all of the shots that develop kind of funky and have pretty lines and colors that were not expected-thanks for the giveaway and all of your hard work!
i'd like to give my 6 yr old, Ada, a polaroid. She's an awesome artist & I would love to help her blossom & experiment w/ photography. i often find random pictures in my cameras & cell that make me smile & remind me that she has her own way of viewing the world. <3

I miss two things most about Polaroids…1. the click of the button when you take the picture and 2. (the most) getting fingerprints on the pictures from being so anxious to see the pic!! Love your blog. π
any ole camera works fine for me! but I AM fond of polaroids…
im a long time follower. π
WOW! What an amazing give away. I just found your blog now, and can't believe all the prettiness I've been missing out on for these past few years haha. Happy Blog-aversiry!
Following indeed!
Hi Ruby,
I most miss the feeling and pressure of having to make it a “good picture.” With all the digital cameras the ability to see the picture right away is great, although the anticipation and precious-ness of knowing that we didn't perfect the shot is more memorable to me.
Congratulations on your blog anniversary, hope the next 3 years are as great for you and your family.
– Laur
1) I miss having a camera that will automatically just give me the photos instead of just downloading them in my computer and never printing them out.
2)I am definitely a follower.
3)And i blogged about the giveaway of my blog: http://lelouperrant.blogspot.com/2010/09/want-to-win-polaroid-camera-and-film-i.html
thanks for the opportunity.
To enter, all you have to do is:
1. i miss the surprise of opening up the envelope and re-living the moments. with digital, you can immediately see the pics; it just doesn't have that same suspense.
2. im a fresh follower π
3. i blogged about your giveaway here >> http://lodydody.blogspot.com/
I subscribe to your blog via Google Reader. π
I miss the feeling of getting the prints from the shop and seeing how they came out. It was always exciting, with a few disappointments when shots came out blurred or not at all. π
i miss being in the dark room. i loooved that. thanks for this chance to win!!
i am most definitely a follower of your blog π π
I miss the sound the camera makes when it's rewinding the film. It was satisfying that I finished the roll of film & I couldn't wait to get it developed!
I miss picking up the envelope of pics and tearing into it before leaving the store…..to see the great pics. and just really focusing while taking the pics because you want it to turn right and you only have so many chances. What a great give away!! I follow your blog and really enjoy it.
I miss that I now have unlimited amounts of printing of one image. That mistakes are erased unlike before I would get upset that my picture turned out blurry.
follower.
the thing i miss about using film camera is…. EVERYTHING.. my polaroid broke a couple years ago.. and bills are more demanding than a new camera

I miss the excitement and anticipation of waiting for film to be developed (or watching as a polaroid comes to life!) Everything is so instant gratification these days!
I miss the excitement of going to pick up your pictures and seeing how they came out and going over all the memories – because usually there are a few in there that are not so recent.

I miss the lack of delay that comes with film. Click and what you want is captured. That and the beauty of developing my own film, watching the photo materialize under the fluid- magic.
Also, I am a follower! (with a baby about a week older than sweet Soul girl!)
I love that film was always a gift we got from our grandma, or in our stockings or something. And when we got it developed and were told we didn't have to pay, that was even better π

Congrats for having these 3 years of blogging! I am a subscriber to your blog. :]
What I miss about film is that you're always surprised (pleasantly or not) by the printed result. It's too easy to delete stuff from digital cameras!
I miss film cameras because now I have to actually order the pictures to get them instead of just developing the film and having it on the spot.
Hope I win!
I subscribe and follow. π
Happy Anniversary. Three years and three babies- impressive. I miss the actual focusing of the pictures, the slight turn of the lens, back and forth. Yep, that's me.
Thanks!

I miss having printed photos to pin up and share with friends and family, looking at photos on the PC just isnt the same..
i love the numbers that click down for how many shots you have left and then waiting for the film to develop. when you pick up your photos its like you get to open an exciting present!

I miss being surprised (either good or bad) about how the picture came out. I also miss camera prints because I'm lazy and never get around to printing many pictures anymore.

I miss film cameras so much. I hate that everything is digital and I am happy to say I have many film cameras that I still use and love. I prefer ending up with something tangible instead of a digital file. I wish more people felt the same so film wasn't such a dying medium. Someday I hope to build a darkroom in my house, its so much better to produce prints yourself.
I MISS THE MYSTERY OF FILM: did i get the lighting right on that last one? was my hand steady for that long shutter speed shot? was that moment as candid as i remember? I MISS THE SATISFACTION OF FILM: I used to print my images the day OF a shoot, filled with uncontained excitement as I awaited in the one hour photo department. Being a digital photographer now, I barely ever print pictures for myself, or of myself for that matter. I miss doing photography for myself, and with mystery & satisfaction. Polaroids are just that, for you filled with mystery and instant satisfaction – a perfect blend of both digital (you can see it instantly) and film (it prints right then and there)
(ALSO, I posted a link on my FB & I am now following you! Yay! I love photography)
hello! i'm a follower of your blog! π
i miss the tangible instantaniousness (haha) of a polaroid camera. sure, digital cameras allow you to view your photos as you are taking them. but polaroids provide you with something more tangible. something to shake. to hold. something instant. something permanant. π
I miss having real, actual pictures!!

I love the way polaroids makes the image look, all vintage and old. It reminds me of my Grandmother taking pictures. I'm a follower too.
The thing I miss the most about using film cameras (specifically 35mm film cameras) is finding used rolls of film around my house.
I'm notorious for not developing film right away, so it's such a little surprise when I find a used roll waiting to be developed and when I finally see the prints, the memories from those pictures come flooding back to me! It's the best!
I am definitely a follower of your blog and have been for a little more than a year or so!
Your babies are beautiful with wonderful names! π

i miss the anticipation of opening that package of photos to reveal what's inside!

I really miss the surprise of film. I used to bring a roll in, wait a few days for it to be developed, and then examine each picture as it came through. From the time I took the photo to the time it was in my hands there were a lot of forgotten memories that came back to surprise me.
aaaaand I'm a follower!
