Spicy Udon & Kimchi Soup. Spicy? Yes, please! I made two batches, one non-spicy for the girls, and one super spicy for us.
Week of 1/13 – 1/17
Monday: Fish Tacos
Tuesday: Seafood Stir Fry
Wednesday: White Bean Chili
Thursday: Leftovers
Friday: Pizza/sushi night
I’ve made a couple other meals this week, but never got around to taking a picture of it, so all you get to see is our soup. My best friend took us to her favorite Korean market and we love it! The produce and prices are good and we can’t wait to stock up on more groceries there later today.
Meal planning definitely helps save time and money. When I look back at all our meals, I can’t believe all the different recipes I’ve cooked. It has for sure been a lot of fun learning and growing in the kitchen. Ben used to be the one to cook every day, but he pretty much only cooks on special occasions now. Who’s in charge of cooking in your home?
yum where can i get that recipe?!
Yes! There will be a recipe up for this soon!
I’m the one who cooks mainly in our home. I usually do similar meals each week, so I pretty much buy the same ingredients and groceries each week for our weekly meals and change it up a bit. Saves me money doing it this way
Oh that makes sense! I should try that for a month and see how that goes!
that looks delish!

I love these posts, because since Ben is a dietitian I feel like I can trust these to be good, healthy meals. Keep them coming! 🙂
Yes, there really are! I should add the veggies we eat too in these posts, but I’ll take it one step at a time. When more time comes, I’ll get around to sharing those recipes.
I did make this once (https://mycakies.com/2013/07/kimchi-fried-rice/), rather my best friend made it while I took pictures, but there was a couple comments in disappointment that I would even eat spam considering we eat healthy. But it’s a common Korean dish that I wanted to share, but most definitely could do without the spam, but I have to admit I like spam, though it’s something I would only eat once a year. So, I have shared a less nutritious recipe before too!
