Ben took the girls to WonderCon a couple weekends ago and it was their first time going to something like that. My girls are really into comics, especially Spider-Man, so they were so excited to be able to go. Of course, they dug up their costumes to get dressed up and they came home with plenty of pictures of other characters they took pictures with, and two people even asked Soul even they could take pictures with her!
Ben got each girl a little treat to commemorate their adventure that day, and each treat represented each character they were dressed as. Soul got this cute little Pinkie Pie by Funko, and True and Brave got these two little prints from the artist Christopher Lee. After they came home, Ben wished he picked up one he saw for me, so he called his cousin, who was still there, and he picked up the print for us. It’s this Kids on Modern Classics print by Christopher Lee. I love midcentury modern chairs (and have a few), so how funny (and sort of true) is this illustration. This Master of the Universe Compendium poster is pretty great too, and I know the kids would love it because they love He-Man and She-Ra. We had fun looking Christopher Lee’s site and loving all his work (check it out here); his illustrations are just so cool and fun. We love finding new artists to love and follow!
That ís a pretty print, the one with the chairs and the kids. Love the other work of Christopher Lee as well 🙂
How awesome! we were so bummed that we didn’t go, particularly since we live fairly close. Ami is big on the Marvel Universe and super heroes are a big topic of conversation around our house. And thank you for showing me Christopher Lee! Too bad his Star Wars posters are sold out. Both my boys (big one and small one) are all about Star Wars right now!
Ami’s not scared of Star Wars? I thought about showing the older girls, but I thought they might get freaked out. LOL
He loves the Clone Wars cartoon from Disney and that was how we introduced the movies to him. They are coming out with a new cartoon called Star Wars Rebels so it’s become a small obsession. 🙂
Really cute print. I’ve never been too much into comics growing up, except the occasional Archie and Veronica ones at the grocery store. But this sounds super fun, what a sweet daddy.

These are super fun finds! I love how they’re all slightly distorted proportionally.
If your girls are into drawing, Christopher Hart’s cartoon “how to” books are great! I loved using them on long flights or to help me depict some of my knitting pattern designs. I’m going to be doing more fashion/cartoon sketches, except this time for sewing. Even if you like to sketch, his books are great fun. He even has how to draw fairy books and animals… so you could probably appeal to your little superhero as well as your other daughters tastes.
Thank you for this tip! I’m definitely going to check this out.
Had to share: apartmenttherapy had a post on mini modern kids chairs today that made me think of your poster! How funny!

I love that post, definitely reminds me of the poster!
The prints are really nice, I like the last print the most out of the three! I just checked out the website that created that print and their products are really neat! I can’t decide which one I want to buy.
