We are back after a nice visit to San Antonio, Texas visiting my Benny’s family. We always have such a good time with family and also doing some thrifting and antiquing. Here are some of my finds, which are all too lovely…
Some small embroidery hoops and a vintage, monogrammed, linen cloth… the color is too perfect!
One of our new favorites… an antique, tufted, velvet green chair….
We shipped it via Package Express through Greyhound and it is so reasonable (it even got here in 2 days!). We absolutely love the chair, though it needs some work done because the fabric is so, so worn. Now, I am in the search for the perfect fabric to give it new life.
It is nice to be home and I have a stash of projects that I want to get to and a few other finds that I want to share… I can’t wait to get started!
I’m so happy your home safe! I’ve been having Ruby withdrawals! Let’s get together sometime, when we’re not so busy! When oh when? 🙂
those are lovely finds! What kind of blue would you call that? ocean blue?
We got a chair from my friends parents a few months ago {not quite as cool as yours} that I want to re-upholster[sp?], but I am sure it will sit here for a while. …can’t wait to see the photos you have taken!!
Love the chair, the fabrics, and your embroidery! I am also glad to see you blogging again, definitely missed you. 🙂
How did you ship the chair? I mean, did you have to package it at all? Just wondering…
Great finds!!!
Love your creative blog, and your work…
I love the photo of your thread.
Erika, we shipped it via Greyhound the bus. We took it to UPS and they packaged it (around $60) then took it to Greyhound and they do shipping for quite cheap ($70) compared to the $200 it would have cost at UPS. It was definitely worth it as we got the chair for a fantastic deal of $75!!! Now, in search of the perfect fabric to change it too…
Alright, u’re not in Texas – dang it – I was wrong :)!
