I took our most recent photo booth strip from our trip to the fair, went to a local copy center, asked them to photocopy the first picture into a black-and-white 18″ x 24″ print and I must say that I am pretty happy with the result. The best part… it cost $1.99. It was just what this little wall needed (see here).
I did also have them copy another strip, which was already black-and-white, but the shadows in that copy came out kind of strange that I like how the colored one transferred into a large black-and-white better. You can see that one here.
Have any other quick ways and fun ways to put up a family portrait? I love how Jen turned her instagram into wall art. This is next on my to-do list.
p.s. yes, that is an inflatable, pink unicorn. we picked that up at the fair too!
I love this idea, thank you so much for the inspiration. We only got b&w photo booth pictures but it’s still worth a try! I might have to try one of out instax pics too!
I saw this in the background of some of your pictures from other posts and I thought, “WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!” I’ve been looking for something simple to hang over the crib (something not breakable/hard in case of an earthquake) and I think this might be it! 🙂
LOVE this idea! Just moved into my first house with my husband &possibilities are endless!
I always enjoy visiting your blog!
Simply love this idea! I never would have thought blowing a teeny tiny picture up that big would still look good- grainy ness and all but this has so much character! I see many baby pics finding their way up on our walls soon…the husband hates having our photos up, says if he wants to look at me he will turn his head and look! Sheesh, guys. We have taken a photo strip almost every year on our anniversary, its always fun to see how we have changed over the last 10 years.
love it!
A clever, inexpensive idea. Thanks for the suggestion.
I love love love these family pics!
