Korean Spicy Stew. I used a lean pork instead of chicken like the recipe called for. It was good, and the girls liked it, but Ben didn’t. I think I know now that my husband doesn’t like stews. He said it reminded him too much of American food. HA! Guess I won’t be cooking that dish again.

I haven’t cooked a fish dish in awhile, and my girls love salmon, so I will definitely have to put that in the menu soon.
hi, rubyellen! i had left a comment with questions on your last family meals post. just following up here. 🙂 where do you usually buy udon and ramen noodles, and do you buy them in bulk packages? do you try to purchase ones that are made with healthier ingredients and if so do you recommend certain brands? thank you!
I buy them at the Asian markets and the udon come in frozen packs. They aren’t whole wheat, and I haven’t seen whole wheat udon before. If you want healthier, go for the buckwheat soba. They are delicious too, but I feel udon noodles just fit better with certain dishes.
I love daktoritang! 🙂 My aunt makes it for me when I visit her. I make it myself, but it doesn’t taste the same and my husband unfortunately doesn’t like spicy foods. Anyway, your photos of food are amazing! 🙂
I’m so thankful my husband and I have the same taste in foods! The only difference is that I love desserts way more than he does!
i laughed out loud… my husband has the same sentiments about stew. i make something similar eliminating carrots and serving over rice and for some reason he likes it. thanks for your family meal ideas!
Glad I can help!
