I’m definitely a fan of Me & Mr. Cassidy. Nope. Not a blog, but the singing duo. I was a fan of Hope’s music long before we became friends, so I was a little star struck to meet her. I totally love their music! As evidence by using their songs here, here, and here. We like to mark special occasions and road trips with music so for our 6th anniversary, we listened to their first album all weekend long. Now, whenever we hear it, we’re transported to that time of celebrating for us. I’m very excited they have another album coming again soon because maybe we could use that for our 8th anniversary (or next road trip).

Their songs are folky, tell a great story, and are so much fun to sing and harmonize to. If you’re all about those things, you might just fall in love with them too. Oh and I’m no photographer, but just a gal who likes to tell pictures, so I was honored when they asked me to take some photographs of them which was used for their most recent EP release. I never thought I’d see one of my photographs on iTunes, so I think it’s pretty cool and used for such a great song (and duo) too!

Say hello to Alexa Sonken. Alexa Sonken is freelance graphic designer living in beautiful San Diego. She went to Westmont College in Santa Barbara and studied fine arts and graphic design. Her friends from college started getting married and she began to notice a common theme: the need for rad, creative and fun invitation, so she had the idea to create a wedding invitation shop filled with fun designs that can be customized to a bride’s wedding colors and style.  Her design shop is geared towards the unconventional, artistic, funky, quirky and creative bride.  She also creates custom rubber address stamps that are a really sweet addition to a wedding invitation suite or anything you can send in the mail!

Alexa’s favorite thing about having an online shop is getting to see her designs come to life when working with a client. Her designs are customizable that brides are really able to take her designs and make them their own. I really love how sweet and simple this one is.

Say hello to a lovely shop named Addiah. Virginia, the owner of the shop, says Addiah is derived from a Hebrew name meaning adornment or ornament from God, which she found to be perfectly fitting as she sells lovely things that adorn the home and body. Virginia is a believer and advocate in loving what you own and encouraging others to surround themselves with that which they love. She believes the things in our lives should be beautiful, encourage us to live well, and inspire us. She started Addiah after she graduated from college and as time went on, she became increasingly more passionate about finding and celebrating awesome designs and the people making them. She wants to use her shop as a way to encourage people to live their lives well and be surrounded with beauty.

Some of her personal favorites in the shop are the wandering robe, cascade necklace, the postmug, and these simple but stunning dog leashes. I have a few of my own favorites which include the lace necklace, the Sky High, and these hand woven napkins.

Meet Allison. She pens the blog After His Smile. A mama who talks about her sanctification as a mother, lover of adoption, life, and food. I am excited to introduce you to Treehouse Kid & Craft. If I had to pick my favorite online kid toy store, then this shop would probably be it! This shop is run by Kristen, a fellow mama/crafter/blogger, living in Athens, Georgia. Following birth of her daughter, Maypop, Kristen decided to mesh everything that she loved and was inspired by, and opened up Treehouse Kid & Craft. She curates a shop filled with things that she finds lovely including vintage kid’s clothes, locally handmade clothes, responsibly made and designed toys and gifts, books, art and craft supplies. Not only is it a shop, but since Kristen has a background in Art Education, thus Treehouse Kid & Craft holds classes, summer camps, and workshops for kids and adults almost every day of the week. That sounds like a dream to me! Take a look at the shop and I am sure you will easily find a whole bunch of things you will love like this doll, cute rody, sweet bird cage, and this wooden plane. This shop is just so great!

Meet Mixie. Mixie is a clothing company handmade in Los Angeles. Shannon, the mama behind Mixie, makes things for kids and the ladies! It’s a nice little mix-y. *wink* I am especially in love with the sunsuits, which Shannon graciously sent over for Soulie and Glow, and they come in such great patterns. Doesn’t Soul look so cute?!
