vintage here, vintage there: mother’s day

vintage here, vintage there
Mama’s got the whole world in her hands. Well, maybe just in her belly!
vintage here, vintage there: mama day
Yesterday was my last time celebrating mama’s day with three little babes as next year, Lord willing, it will be with 4! FOUR!!! I still can hardly believe it. I am past the half way point and can feel this little babycakies kicking like crazy. I love that feeling and will miss it so much after baby comes out. I will miss that the most about being pregnant as it sure ain’t going to be the morning sickness or food peculiarities. Half way there and I could feel time passing quickly before me. I am so excited, but so nervous.

It was a sweet and simple mother’s day. I told Ben not to make me breakfast in bed on Sunday cause Sunday mornings are too crazy with getting ready to go to church and all (I have 3 girls to dress), so he did breakfast this morning. Also, I told him not to buy or plan anything as I wanted it to be simple and all I wanted to do was go to the flea market, get some macarons, and eat chinese food from Phoenix Inn. My three wishes were granted. Thus, this was one happy mutha!

The morning started a bit tumultuously as True was sick the night before, so we weren’t even sure we were going to go to church, but then she was fine Sunday morning, but then our car decided to not want to work and it took an hour to get the guy to come and fix it, so yada yada… we never made it to church unfortunately as it was much too late. So we just made our way to the flea market and to let this mama keep getting wishes granted.

on me: shirt, gap. maxi skirt, thrifted. shoes, vintage. necklace, etsy.
on true: dress, vintage. sweater, old navy. shoes, livie & luca.
on brave: dress, vintage. leggings, target. shoes, siaomimi.
on soul: tunic, misha lulu. jacket, old navy. she lacks pants and shoes because she leaked and we just didn’t put the pants back on and just took her shoes off as well.
I loved my newest (old) maxi skirt. I am probably too short to be wearing it, but whatever. My belly is comfortable and that is all that matters. Thrift stores are really probably the best place to find maxi skirts right now. I so want to go back to find some more!

We did make out with some good loot. Another globe to add to my collection, which Ben says needs to stop, some air plants that I have been wanting, a little vintage dress, a crate, and my favorite find of all… the vintage french school desk and chair. Swoon! It will be perfect for True’s desk this coming homeschool year. Also, a vendor whose shops are Patine Decor & Euro-Linen gifted me with a lavender sachet pack and I think the scent is heavenly (thanks Dani!). I have never had a lavender sachet pack before and Ben and I are now addicted. We keep sniffing it and like keeping it close. It was a good day at the flea market and the rest of the day went sensationally. Just what this mama wanted (more pics to come later).
Rachel and her gang “over there” had just as a relaxing weekend as we did and they were dressed to the nines as always. I am guessing relaxing is what every mother needed this weekend!
Tell me, how did you spend your mother’s day?

  • I can't believe you're half way there already! Happy Mother's Day (a week late)… you're one of my favorite moms! I think I had that exact same globe when I was growing up (got it for my bday in 4th grade!). I pine for it now… I understand your obsession with globes! Very cute photos!!!!!!!

  • love your sweet little blog! i'm a montessorian & we do a lot (!!!) of sewing in our classroom. lavender sachets are one of the most beloved projects for the children to sew. might be something your girls would enjoy too! we sew them up just like a small pillow, but leave a tiny space to fill with the lavender! enjoy your new treasures!
