Shrimp Tacos with Guacamole. My mom made the shrimp and I turned them into tacos. My mom always makes the best food, so when we go over for dinner, we love bringing home leftovers to make more dinners at home.
Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice Paper Shell. I made this for our anniversary dinner. I have the recipe to share with you next week!
Hainanese Chicken Rice. Ben and I have been craving this since we had it in Singapore. Ben even ate it twice while we were there. I used this recipe as a guide, but changed things slightly to make it healthier. I used chicken breasts, didn’t use chicken fats, and lessened the amount of oil. I also used brown rice instead of white, and it still held some of the good flavor. I think what help makes it is the pandan leaf in the broth, and the side of chili sauce. Oh that chili sauce is so spicy and delicious! I will definitely making this a lot. The whole family loved it!
What have you been cooking lately? Do you like trying new recipes or do you pretty much stick with tried and true favorites when in the kitchen?

i love shrimp tacos. so easy yet so delicious! so when can i hire your services to plan out my family’s weekly meals? i’m such a horrible decision maker and there are so many recipes i want to make. every night. but the time… oh the time i don’t have.
Once you get the habit of meal planning, it comes much more easily.
I have been a lot of Indonesian food lately.
Trying to memorise it all whilst I’m here in Bali so I can cook it again for my fiance. In case he gets homesick when we return to Australia.
Made an awesome mie kangkung belacan last night via http://whattocooktoday.com/mee-kangkung-belacan-stir-fry-noodles-with-water-spinach.html. Hot tip add a little stock into the mix, just to make the sauce thicker and the noodles slurpier for the girls.
Also got inspired by you actually and will be making some wedang ronde and pisang goreng for my own blog.
Its fun learning about new cuisines. Perhaps you could share your most favourite Filopino dish with us all?
That’s a good idea about filipino dishes. Though, it would more likely be filipino desserts. There aren’t too many filipino dishes I like!
