This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

Got a lot of work done on the WOVENFOLK website. I have to finalize a couple shipping things and the site should be ready for launch! I’m hoping this week.

Thankful state testing is done! *all the praise hands*

I don’t know if I could rock yellow, but totally loving the vibes of this outfit.

So disappointed in the lack of stock in Everlane and the glitch in the system. It said the day heel would be back May 4th, then got changed to May 7th, but it actually came back in stock May 4th (I emailed and they said the wrong date was a system glitch… argh!), and I missed out. Oye!

Anyone know where I can find this constellation coat rack here in the US?

I’ve totally loved the spring/summer shoes Gap has been putting out lately. These mules and this braided sandal.

This vintage piece is the perfect beach layering piece.

I want to read 12 Ways Your Phone is Changing You.

My former pastor passed away last Sunday. His life created such a ripple effect for eternity and it reminds me that only things done in and for Jesus Christ will last. One of my fondest memories is the joy that overflowed when he led us in singing “In My Heart There Rings a Melody.” One of the verses is… I love the Christ who died on Calv’ry, for He washed my sins away; He put within my heart a melody, And I know it’s there to stay. Pastor Ed lived with the melody of Jesus Christ in his heart.

I’m curious, what sorts of things would you like to see in this space? More crafts, homeschooling, fashion, recipes, or simply day-to-day stories?

Happy weekending!

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

Besides my Tuesday’s thankful list, I’m thankful for being able to go on a little getaway with my family for True’s birthday.

Such a blessing to now be raising an 11 year old! Though, I forget that often when her moodiness arises.

I definitely want to try making my own udon noodles.

This is my favorite shrimp dumpling recipe.

The Everlane Day Heel is supposed to pop back in later this week. I hope to snag one! Their pointed slides also come out this week and I love the colors. Though, I’m not much for flats. I like a little bit of a heel.

The girls have state testing this coming week. Since we homeschool, there isn’t as much pressure for it, but I still like them feeling comfortable when they take it.

I made black bean burgers this week and everyone loved them, except Glow because she doesn’t really care for beans. I’m hoping after many more times of exposure, and maybe the right recipe, she will have a love for beans like everyone else. Will share a recipe with you soon!

If you can pull of red, this vintage romper is for you.

We’ve been doing plenty of relaxing this weekend, so hope you get to do the same!

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

We had a great spring break and because one was sick, we were stuck at home most of the time. This allowed me a lot of time to work on the WOVENFOLK. I still have a way to go, but hopefully I’ll have a launch date for you soon. Meanwhile, see the WOVENFOLK tumblr for basket lady inspiration.

Thankful for Ben’s cousins and how much they love and spoil the girls. They are off at Disneyland for the day, Ben and I went out for a lunch date, and I even got to take a nap! Such a treat for the girls and us, and we are so thankful.

After watching Lion, I want to read A Long Way Home: A Memoir. The movie had me in tears, so I’ll probably be blubbering throughout the whole book.

Would happily hang this gorgeous mural anywhere in my home.

If you’re looking for a nice, minimalist dress for spring/summer, check this one out.

S’mores waffle with nutella and toasted coconut sounds pretty delicious to me.

Someone get this vintage, denim romper from Ms. Tips (she’s got a lot of pretty denim in the shop right now).

“His oath, His covenant, His blood support me in the whelming flood; when all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay.” The lines of this hymn have been comforting my soul as our family is going through some trials.

Hope you all have a relaxing weekend!

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

Thankful for marriage fights because they reveal sin and things we need to work on. We’re both always learning how to love and forgive.

Such a gorgeous picture… the lady, the colors, the simplicity.

Still love seeing colorful sap buckets displayed on a wall.

I got ahead of the game and ordered a bunch of homeschooling curriculum for next year. It’ll be year 7 of homeschooling!

This “Keep Your Chin Up” bandana is quirky and cute.

Sort of curious of this tie-belt culotte jumpsuit from the GAP.

Everlane is releasing a new shoe on Monday. Love the block heel on it.

Lasagna has been my new favorite thing to make, or maybe it’s that I really like eating lasagna. I never liked it in the past, but I use this recipe (with some of my own minor tweaks), and I love it.

I like the philosopher quoted at the end of this article entitled, “Dear Non-Christian Friend, Where Can We Find True Freedom?

The girls don’t know it, but next week is spring break, and I’m really excited about it. I might move things around so our break will have a some days off next week, and some days off the week after. #ohthejoysofhomeschooling.

Are you a vintage flax linen lover? If so, this set is for you.

The girls had so much fun dog sitting for a couple days. They’re really lobbying for a dog.

Here’s to hoping you all get lots of rest and relaxation this weekend!

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

Lots of ongoing lessons on how to rebuke, receive rebuke, forgiveness, and love from my children.

Blessed by this article “Difficult Friendships are Good for You” by my friend Frances.

Want this gorgeous mural in my home.

My dream chair? A Warren Platner.

We need more space for our books, so I told Ben I want one similar to this.

Such lovely vintage gold hoops that want to be dangling on someone’s ears.

Hey size 6ers (in shoes), these crochet mule/slides are perfect for spring!

Thankful we finally resumed our Friday night family night last night after 3 weeks off hanging out with friends.

I’ve been using this retinol moisturizer by Body Merry and love it.

This week I did not wake up early at all. I don’t know what it is, but I’ve been having a hard time getting out of bed lately. Still working on the wake up early for Bible reading time first thing goal. Bad things happen when my soul is running low.

I appreciate the forced vacation from laundry this week (it broke and our new one just came in) and I’m breaking in our new washer as we speak.

The house, front porch, and backyard is mostly clean, so it makes me want to do a happy dance. It’s been a few months since all three have been clean at the same time.

How was your week last week?

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

Thankful that Ben and I got to go on a date this weekend. Also, we are thankful for grandparent weekends that allow us time to go on dates and get things done at home in peace.

Grateful for modern appliances that make life easier, but our washing machine decided it didn’t want to work, so hoping it doesn’t cost a lot to fix. Oye!

This pair of slides and this heel sandal are both perfect for spring and summer.

Now that taxes are almost done, I’m ready to get in spring cleaning and decorating mode. I don’t redecorate often, but I’ve got an itch right now.

Excited to work on some fun art projects with the girls this week!

So inspired by the transformation of this home. If I had extra cash lying around and great vision (with a large dose of patience), I think a project like this would be fun to work on.

If you’re looking for a denim duster, this one on ebay is pretty cool.

My go-to vintage shop, Ms. Tips, is having a 40% sale for her 7th shop anniversary! Someone get this basket please (or this one); both are so good.

I did better at my goal of waking up to read first thing this week. I woke up 3 out of 5 days at 5am, did my Bible reading, prayed, and then worked out once Ben woke up. I’m going to keep trying to improve this week. My soul desperately needs the Word and prayer.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend friends!
