yup. crystal lewis.

c.lew came over!c.lew came over!c.lew came over!c.lew came over!I am a huge Crystal Lewis fan (yes, she even blogs!). I wanted to sing like her. Well, her and Mariah Carey. I have lots of memories of begging and bugging my mom to take me to the christian bookstore to get me her newest cd. I had them all, even Wild Blue Yonder. So you can imagine my elation when I discovered Crystal Lewis read my blog (still in disbelief), I immediately sent her crazy fan email.

Anyways, a few months later and here we are… Crystal Lewis came to my house. Totally crazy! I tried not to get too fan crazy on her, but I did yell in giddiness (loudly) the moment I opened the door. It was a big moment in my life. Not only did she come over, but she brought her equally talented daughter, Izzi Ray, over too. Two talented singing ladies in my house at the same time… I was in awe. We all spent the afternoon chatting, playing with my babies, and eating strawberry shortcake. It was all pretty swell and we even have plans to get together again. Yup. Dreams do come true.

Um… now how can I get Mariah Carey to come over?!!

you can have playdates with Mariah’s twins. You both have something in common, you have unique names for your kids. You could audition on America’s Got Talent, and chat up Nick Cannon. that’s definitely one step close to Mariah. Sorry, I tend to get carried away with my ideas! lol!

  • Wow! So great that she reads your blog and you got the chance to meet her 🙂 She looks lovely and you look so thrilled on all those pics!

What? You sound like me. Crystal Lewis & Mariah Carey – my favorites. I too had all her music, including Wild Blue Yonder. I sang many of her songs in church over the years, too (i can sing but i only dream of being able to sing as well as Crystal!). LOVE her & was thrilled to find she has a twitter, an instagram & even a BLOG!

You are a lucky girl!! 🙂 You do have a cute blog too! 🙂

Ahhhhhhhhhhh! How exciting (and equally crazy)! I remember Crystal Lewis coming to my church in Riverside, Harvest Christian Fellowship, when I was growing up. She was always my favorite guest artist! =D I’d be fangirling myself!

WOW, what a fun story!! I still sing some of Crystal Lewis’ songs in the shower. 🙂 This is my first visit to your blog, thanks to a link from Oh Hello Friend. I liked your post about reading blogs with discernment. What a great point that lives are edited based on what the bloggers decide to talk about or show. As readers, we’ll never be content with our lives (as great as they are!) if we’re always comparing our lives to those of our favorite bloggers. Thanks for keeping things in perspective!
