This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

I want to make a jacket similar to this for the winter. I think it’s perfect for our California winters.

Adorable bell sleeve denim top… I’m thinking about it.

Thankful for the girls and their enthusiasm this new school year. I really see their excitement come out with some of our new curriculum.

We are getting closer to finalizing the design for our drought tolerant front lawn.

I got a girls’ night in this week. Always a blessing to spend time with the FSBC ladies.

Found one vintage top at the thrift store this week… woot! But it’s been such a bust lately.

These vintage platform clogs are legit.

A couple things that I have been ruminating on from my quiet time in the mornings and reading from Colossians 2… abounding in thanksgiving and setting my mind on things above. Both things I fail at, but praise the Lord it’s not about what I do, but what Jesus did in my place. So while I fail, I can still strive for these things and experience grace in them because of Jesus and what He did.

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

I had a great time at this year’s Michaels Makers Summit. There’s so much to share from it, so stay tuned for a post coming soon.

Pinned this cute outfit, but especially love the unique basket bag.

If you’re wear an 8 in shoes, please get these vintage wooden heels.

I ordered Maryanne Moodie’s book, On the Loom: A Modern Weaver’s Guide, and can’t wait for it to come in.

Ben and I have been watching Fear the Walking Dead, and while it’s filling the current void of The Walking Dead, there aren’t any characters we really like.

Yes to “Find a Friend to Wound You.” It’s so hard, but so needed.

I’m in the mood to whip up pom poms to make a bag like this.

We are looking forward to a chill week and getting back into routine. Being gone last week, threw things off a little, so we have some making up to do.

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

We are getting back into the swing of extra-curricular activities. The girls love piano and swim, and they want to take jui jitsu. Brave also wants to take some theatre classes.

I think this hanging basket would be cute above Soul’s bed.

This week went by so fast, and I’m thankful that I was able to catch up with some friends who I hadn’t seen in awhile.

Four Ways to Win the Battle Against Busyness” is something I needed to read.

Love instagram shop PrelovedPQ; Naomi’s shop has so many pretty goods to ogle after.

I’m excited and thankful to see Soul and Glow’s reading progress. It’s not always easy, but it is a blessing to teach my children.

These handwoven picnic totes are stunning.

Thankful I got some sewing time in this week and my studio is clean again. Woot!

I’m honored to be one of the speakers for the Thrive Mom’s fall retreat. To learn more details, visit here.

Well, I’m off to this year’s Michaels Makers Summit in Carmel, so Ben will be holding down the fort for a few days. Last year’s was such a treat (see here), so I can’t wait to see all the workshops and things they have planned for this year.

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

I’m a to-do list person and they help me stay on track, so I’m thankful for the pen and paper on which I write my lists!

Thankful we are celebrating and embarking on our sixth year of homeschooling.

I’d been eyeing these and then went on sale for 30% off, so I snatched up a pair.

Annamarie to share this family tradition and recipe with me. Looks like a fun and delicious family activity!

I love the new shop Rope & Root. It’s filled with lots of beautiful macrame pieces for your home.

I’m a basket lady and love my newest one from Space Rocket Store in Portugal, where the baskets are made.

This week was insanely busy with the first week of school, some project deadlines for me, and regular up-keeping life stuff. We are looking forward to really slowing down this weekend, so I’ll be back here on Tuesday!

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

Here we go, it’s the last weekend before school starts, and we are ready for that homeschool grind. Thankful for summers, but looking forward to how we grow this new school year. I ordered this new whiteboard, so I can’t wait for it to come in.

I’ll do a new curriculum post soon, and share new things we are going to do.

I want to make a rope bag shaped like this. If my crochet skills were more advanced, I’d crochet one.

Eyeing this sandal. Thankfully, I live in California where sandals can pretty much be worn year round.

Totally counter-cultural, but I like this article, “Wait to Date Until You Marry.”

The girls have been totally into Fiddler on the Roof since watching it with their Grandmama this summer. They’ve been spinning the record over and over again. I love hearing their little voices sing and act things out.

Thankful that our Thursday night dinners with neighbors is going strong. It’s been a blessing to get to know more of our neighbors.

I plan to visit some new thrift stores this weekend. What are your plans?

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

The girls went on vacation with my parents this week and Ben and I were able to have some alone time. It was a blessing to have a little bit more quiet and calm together, but we missed the girls a lot.

Thankful for new friends! We went on a double date with our neighbors this week.

I’m eyeing these pants.

This funky coat is awesome. How can I make one?

Someone get this vintage sisal bag!

I admire the ceramic artwork of Gaby of Oohclay. Her clay experiments are so whimsical. I adore the egg cups.

The concept of the OnMoments shop is real sweet. They are time capsules in a bottle and you can have them mail it on a specific day sometime in the future (within a year).

We have one week of summer vacation left. Excited to get back in routine, but we will miss the carefree days of summer a whole lot.

Happy weekending friends!
