This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

The big girls are back! Woot! Thankful for all the memories they made in Texas with their Grandmama and Auntia Suzi.

Thankful for the BFF and her hubs for letting the little girls and I crash at their place. It was a fun, quick sleepover.

If you’ve been eyeing the Everlane day heel like I have, you better pop in now to get a pair (in ballet pink!) because it will be sold out pretty soon. In fact, it’s sold out in the sizes that are smaller than a 6.5. The wide leg crop pants popped back in too, but they’re already back ordered (can still order, but won’t ship out until later). I finally got myself a pair and I love the cut and material.

Love this whole outfit, red lippy and earrings included.

I’ve got a thing for Mexican folk art earrings. This pair is gorgeous too. I love modernist earrings too, so I have some pairs up for grabs over here.

Two of my girls hate combing their hair because they have sensitive scalps and it hurts (or maybe I’m not gentle enough!). We recently learned about the wet brush and it’s pretty amazing. Also, the tangle teezer works wonders. Glow, who is the most sensitive, loves brushing her hair with it! #lifechanging

WOVENFOLK loaded up with some new goods and a sale section!

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

Ben and I are so thankful for this sweet time with the two little ones. It definitely changes the dynamic when the big two aren’t here. Ttwo kids is so much easier than 4, but we miss the big two, and can’t wait to see them at the end of next week. Five weeks flew by!

Thankful for the ways Soul and Glow mature and grow when the big girls aren’t here. They really step it up in the responsibility department.

I love the home of the creator of Paloma Wool.

If you’ve noticed I’ve been extra MIA around here it’s because my computer broke and was at the apple doctor for a week. It’s nice to have it back and I hope the issue is solved. My desktop is going on 7 years now, so in apple terms it is almost considered “vintage.” lol

WOVENFOLK has been loaded up with some pretty woven hats!

I trimmed my hair! I took off about 5 inches and feels so nice to have all the dried crispy ends gone. If you’re looking for a hair lady, I think @sarahdizon should be your gal. Check out her @hairbysarahdizon. All her pictures make me want to color my hair again.

Praise God the Lord for 12 years of marital bliss and trials with Ben! It’s our anniversary tomorrow and we are doing a staycation. We kicked off our kidless weekend with a fight last night.

Love this art deco ring from Jean Jean Vintage.

I’ve heard good things about this book by Ben Sasse.

I love that the Nike Cortez shoes are back. I was looking for them a few years ago for Brave, but they weren’t being sold. I’m hoping that since they’re out for adults, they’ll come back for kids too. For me, I’ve been thinking about these Pumas. Pumas were my jam in high school.

We are going through a heatwave over here and temps are expected to be up to 108 this weekend. Eek! Happy weekending!

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

Thankful for visits from friends who live far away, and we get 3 days full of catching up and encouragement.

We had some fun summer adventures this week. I love being able to give the little two some extra special attention and time.

I’m working on getting down my recipe for baked churros. Once I’m happy with it, I will be happy to share it!

Reading has really clicked for Soulie this week. She started reading Anne of Green Gables and has been telling me all about it. It’s no longer just words, but now she’s enjoying the stories!

If you’re eyeing the Everlane day heel, the black is up for pre-order.

Earring lovers… someone get this vintage brass pair.

What a cute, red ruffled dress! These red, woven ballet flats are quite the lookers too.

Excited to find a new delicious restaurant in our area. It’s exactly what I want to eat for our anniversary in a couple weeks.

There will be some new baskets in the shop this weekend, so don’t forget to check out WOVENFOLK!

Friends, stay cool this weekend! We’ve been going through a heatwave, so it’s definitely feeling like summer ’round here!

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

Thankful Ben’s mom and sister are in town! Lots of family time happening with them.

We’ve been busy prepping for their arrival that we haven’t had much time to think about it, but True and Brave leave with them to Texas on Sunday. I’ll only have 2 kids for 5 weeks and we will miss them so much!

I’ve been using Kosas Cosmetic lipsticks for 6 months now and love it. I ordered this orange-red lipstick for summer. Happy to know only good ingredients are going on my lips.

Ordered a box of indigo dye and can’t wait to try it!

My current favorite basket in WOVENFOLK. The curl in the handles is my favorite detail.

Not sure if I can pull off a red shoe, but these suede mules are real cute.

Everlane has been rolling out some cute goods for summer. I like their bridge sandals and their ribbed tees.

Totally feeling the colors in this piece by Jen Garrido.

If you’re looking for some tortoise shell earrings, I favorited these on etsy.

Can’t wait to start some summer reading and deep cleaning. Of course, there will be lots of little adventures thrown in for good measure.

Enjoy a little rest this weekend friends!

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

God has been stretching and teaching our family more about selflessness, and it’s been forcing Ben and I to check our hearts and idolatries.

We are excited my MIL and SIL are coming to visit soon!

So inspired by Léa Maupetit’S art. They are vibrant, yet so simple.

I’m definitely making green chili pinto burgers sometime soon.

I had a gift certificate, so I ordered this kantha blanket. I chose warm colors, so I can’t wait to see what I get sent.

This crocheted top definitely has vintage vibes.

Cool, yet simple summer slide.

I love the large indoor houseplant in this picture. Anyone know what it is?

Enjoy your weekend! Mine will be spent cleaning. The house has been upside down this week.

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

Thankful for dinner with a new friend and hearing about God’s redemption story in her life.

Super excited and grateful that our 6th year of homeschooling is starting to wind down. We are looking forward to summer.

I’m in a redecorating mood, so I’ve been pinning lots to my DECORATE board.

I re-watched Sabrina (the 1954 version) this week and remembered how much I love old movies. I used to watch them all the time when I was a kid. An Affair to Remember was my all-time favorite movie.

Ms. Tips is having a 20% off sale this weekend! This patterned dress is perfect for spring, so is this denim dress.

Love this denim sandal and these leather strap sandals are on sale.

Vintage and denim lovers… there are lots of good things on sale from Fair Season.

I was moved by my pastor’s tribute to his first pastor, who happened to be my first pastor too. I am encouraged to write letters to the people who have influenced and shaped my life, and let them know exactly how much of an impact they have had.

How beautiful is this…”God’s plan to make his grace known to the world is not for a bunch of perfect people to live together in perfect harmony, but rather, for sinful people to cling desperately to Jesus, even in the hardest instances. ” This is from the article, Every Good Church is Messy. I also love when it states this, “God is bringing people of different backgrounds, nationalities, socioeconomic statuses, and spiritual maturity levels together (Ephesians 3:10). The church’s diversity is a beautiful thing, and part of the beauty is that it grows us by bringing us into orbit with people unlike us — sometimes with people who are hard to love.” How much this rings true in our church family.

It’s Mother’s Day tomorrow and we look forward to celebrating with my mom, and I think Ben and the girls have a little something planned. Happy Mothering Day to all those whose hearts have been given to serving and shaping the lives of others!
