This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

If you wanna hear me chat about hypnobirthing and motherhood, you can listen to my podcast with Kayla Geddes over at Pregnancy Perfect here.

After a rough start back into homeschooling after spring break, we had smoother sailing this week. The end of the year is in our sights and we will keep trekking along until June 7 comes.

Soul seems to be finally getting this reading thing. It’s pretty terrific to see these words slowly come alive to her.

Spicy ramen with tofu? Yes, please.

I’d happily put spicy cauliflower burgers in my stomach too.

Oh my world … this colorful weaving is amazing.

Turns out what I thought were my allergies acting up was that I was actually sick. Ben made an appointment for me to see the doctor, and apparently I am sick. My response … #aintnobodygottimeforthat.

Thinking about this rug for a space in our home.

How awesome are these retro travel Star Wars posters?! The girls would love to have these up in their room.

Happy weekending friends!

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

We had a lovely spring break. We didn’t cross off everything our to-do list, but we did what we could, and we feel rejuvenated enough to finish the year strong. #letsdothis

This dress would be an easy style to sew.

If I didn’t sew one for myself already, I would definitely scoop up this denim kimono.

I love the little details in this kid room.

Inspired by this weaving and super excited about Rachel’s weaving book!

I’ve got a strong craving for an Umami Burger.

We discovered this Mexican ice cream and paleta shop (thanks to a tip from a neighbor). My brain was exploding in giddiness because there were so many delicious looking options.

Just ordered this cookbook for my girls.

I watched Arrow on Netflix and now I’m hooked. #olicityforever

It’s been a super busy few weeks, so my sister and I haven’t been able to film some videos, but this week, the videos will return! Don’t forget to follow along on our YouTube channel here.

Super thankful taxes are done and turned in to our accountant. Woot! Woot! #ihatetaxes

Someone from our church passed and we were reminded of the brevity of life. My hope is not in this life, but the one that is to come. Jesus died to give me life, and it’s my dying to self and trusting in Jesus is where my life is found. Even when things hurt, my joy lies in Christ and His promises.

I want to sew a denim version of this dress, but with the more structure like this one.

One of my fave shops, Ms. Tips, is having a 40% sale through Monday. Pair this pretty rose skirt with a striped cropped top, also love these vintage overalls.

I like this simple weaving.

These vintage espadrilles are only $12! This pair is a little more expensive, but so cool.

Love this gorgeous Moroccan wedding blanket.

I finally got my portfolio website up for the craft styling I have done. There are still things I need to add, but it’s a start.

Thankful for a little bit of a breather now that some of my big projects are done. I thankful for times of busyness, but always when things are more quiet too.

Kinda weird looking sandals online, but cute in person.

Tomorrow will be filled with lots of family time and Easter egg hunts. I’m egg-cited to give the girls their Easter baskets!

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

Oh man, Monday was rough though. I’m glad we have finally all adjusted to the time change and we are loving the longer days.

I get so much more done when I wake up at 5am. I’m more motivated to check things off the to-do list.

Hosting a loop giveaway with Boden and several other lovely ladies. For your chance to win $750/£750 to Boden, get all the details here. It’s really easy, but ends tonight, so be sure to get your comment in!

I will gladly devour garlic herb and cheese bread.

These Ollie Blocks are so cool! My kids love blocks and would no doubt have so much fun with this one. They have a kickstarter going on if you want to help Ollie Blocks come to fruition.

A geometric paper mobile would make a fun backdrop for a party.

This week was insanely busy. We had a photoshoot at our house on Thursday for Mollie Makes, and then I’ve been busy crafting up a storm for the Family Fun shoot on Tuesday. While it has been chaos, these things are blessing and I am extremely grateful.

I’ve been trying to improve the way I pray based on the encouragements from this article, “Inject Your Prayer List with Life.”

Why Toys All Around Our House Don’t Bother Me Anymore” is something I needed to read. I’m a neat freak and I get mess stress often, so this reminder of how joyous, while still chaotic, this season of life is really help refocus my heart.

Time to put away laundry and clean up our bedroom! Have a good weekend friends!

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

My plane touched down on Sunday and I took off running; this past week has been incredibly busy. There’s a shoot at the house later this week and I’m craft styling another shoot the week after that, so there’s been lots of crafting and trying to clean at the same time. Crafting and clean are two words that don’t really go together.

How amazing is this tassel chandelier?! I would love to try and make it.

I would like to make a dress version of this coat.

I’m thinking the next birthday celebration calls for crepe cake.

Isn’t this such a beautiful vintage, crochet dress?!

Pretty golden sandals … heart eyes!

Thankful that we had some family time to go and watch a play based on Narnia.

Yay … it’s daylight savings time and we get to have more daylight!!!

I love that the girls love to follow me around and watch me when I’m working on projects. They are such little creatives. How cute is that little sign (pictured above) True made?!

This week’s learned, links, and thankfulness…

This past week I’ve been reminded how life is so fragile. We have a dear friend in the hospital, along with my grandma in the hospital too. You really never know what life will bring, but we ought to be prepared to trust God because He is the only thing that is faithful. He brings peace, joy, and comfort through all circumstances. Our life is a tiny blip and we ought to not waste it.

And being reminded to not waste our life, this article by John Piper and his continuing passion to keep spreading the good news at 70 re-engergizes my heart and makes me excited for the future. Should the Lord allow me to live to the age of 70, I want to never retire from making Christ known, but may my zeal be ever resolved to keep going. The article really shifted my idea of retirement.

I want to macrame a beautiful piece like this, but first I need to learn.

This roasted artichoke looks and sounds delicious.

I want more walls filled with kid art in our home.

Grateful for new challenges … I’m speaking later today at Hope Spoken conference in Dallas, and I’m freaked out, but God is teaching me to rely on the spirit and that’s it not about me at all. Praying God uses a messy person like me for his glory!

I came early for the conference so I can hang out with some of my friends here in Dallas. I’m so thankful for friendships, and that even though you don’t see each other for awhile, things always pick up where they left off.

Excited to go home tomorrow and hear all about Ben’s week with the girls. He was flying solo this week, and this is an experience even I have never done. I left him with charts and schedules, so hopefully that made things easier for him.

It was a longer list of things and thankfulness to share this week, but I hope it leaves your heart encouraged!
